Who’s the girl behind the blog?

Hi! My name is Yvette.  I am a thirty-something mom to four young children and I get really excited about crafting.  I mean really excited.  I can’t sit still and I’m always looking for something new to do.  I love fabric, paper, sewing, gluing, power tools, paint and whatever else I can get my hands on from a craft store.  I’m also really into learning about blog design so if you stick around long enough, you’ll see me go through many blog make-overs.

 

So who is Abernathy?

I started this blog in May 2011 and for a year it went through a lot of changes and a few different names.  I settled on Abernathy Crafts because I have always wanted to name a daughter Abernathy but out of the four kids I have, I never got the chance.  I have two sons, Jacob and Jude, and two daughters, Parker and Elliott.  Now I also have one blog, Abernathy, my fifth child.
